Statue of Carnegie in Carnegie Music Hall Lobby

Carnegie in His Music Hall Lobby

Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh, PA is quite the place. The performance hall itself is one thing, but the lobby is quite another. Massive columns of green marble. And that’s about all you can see when you first walk in. It transports you back to the smokey days and guilded cages of 19 century industrial giants. Andrew Carnegie sits at one end. My available camera was an iPod touch 5th generation, and I was not in a position to fuss around, so this is the best I could come up with. This camera loses sharpness pretty fast in low light where the flash is not able to assist much. I corrected the vertical distortion in PT lens. Post-processed to black and white with the SEIM Mono X preset.
