Clover

Clover

I like variety. I like money. The proof is here in my lawn. I don’t apply weed killers or fertilizers. The only money I spend on it is for gasoline for the mower–and I let the corners and edges grow to reduce that activity. I don’t even sweep the grass clippings. I just live and let live. My lawn is a wonderful ecosystem of clover, heal-all, crabgrass, plantain, and a fine assortment of mixed lawn grasses. In the search for the One Picture a Day, I simply had to kneel in my lawn for a subject. A little boosting in Aperture brings an overlooked lawn feature into sharp focus. Camera is a Nikon D90; lens is a Micro-Nikkor 60mm AF macro lens.
