Dogwood Buds

Dogwood Buds

This dogwood tree was inherited with the house. It is the smallest thing; we’ve been here twelve years, and this tree is barely six feet tall at the tips of its highest branches. It has a good crop of buds on it this year. Many of these fat, delicate buds break off (or are munched) most years. We have about six weeks to go until it blooms. However, with the crazy weather of recent years, who knows. I wanted to capture it sleeping. Photographically, it looks like it could be something. Or it could be terrible. I can’t quite make up my mind.
