Eastern Hemlocks in the rain, in the same location as this post entitled Confluence. The One Picture a Day challenge survives, though not every effort has produced blog-worthy material. Thus I offer an image from a day that had more than one worthy result. This is a bittersweet subject. An invasive insect is in the region; these hemlocks are healthy now but they will not be here forever.
