Song Sparrow

Song Sparrow Underexposed

Yep, that’s what it is. A song sparrow, underexposed. Cropped, too! I smacked it around in Aperture for a bit. It’s not too bad, considering all that. I leaned heavily on the exposure tool mostly. It did a pretty good job of brightening the image without washing things out. Note also the creamy bokeh from the Nikon 70-300mm AF-S ED VR. It’s also taken through window glass. The bird feeders offer great bird viewing through the window. Taking pictures is more problematic. I had a flash available, but I was fighting with if for good results. This image was taken without a flash. One good thing about it is that it was taken at ISO 200, so even heavily cropped it still looks good at this resolution. I am really looking forward to the next day that actually has some sun to work with.
