Star Field Texture

Star Field Texture

A photograph of a starry sky took on an odd texture. This is heavily cropped. The texture is very fine, rather hairy in a way. (Compressed for this blog some of the detail is lost.) I presume it is a sensor artifact, but it’s intriguing. Intriguing enough for a late-night one picture a day save. By the way, I always admire the different star colors that become evident in a photograph of stars that look so monochrome to the naked eye. Furthermore, we’ll now see if the word “naked” attracts any more attention to this blog.
