Image taken with a Nikkor 70-300mm AF-S telephoto zoom. A telephoto is handy for wildflower shots. It reduces the temptation to get off the trail to trample the habitat inadvertently. It also compresses the perspective on the image front-to-back, tightening up this bunch of snow trillium (Trillium nivale) to appear a bit fuller.
