Geranium and honeybee

Wild Geranium and a very wild violet

While photographing wild geranium, this honeybee stopped by to add some interest.

Meanwhile, this violet shows some interest of its own. The violet was transplanted from a lawn. The local common blue violet has apparently crossbred with the cultivated pansies that have been planted in nearby flower beds over the years.

Both photographs are taken with a Nikon D90 and a Micro-Nikkor 60mm AF f/2.8.
