It’s nice to get away from home, to get a chance to capture something other than flowers and bugs. It’s even nicer to get away to a place that invigorates more than photography. We’re signing ‘Revive Us Again’ here. I don’t know if we mean it, because I’m not sure we have come to grips with what would happen next. Captured with a Tokina AT-X PRO DX 11-16mm ultra wide angle lens. This thing is wonderful inside buildings to capture the sense of space. It’s f/2.8 aperture is great at handheld shots in low light as well, a typical circumstance inside buildings. In this particular shot, the distortion seems to make everyone and everything, even the walls, lean into the stage. I created a version that corrected that distortion, but I like the original better. It fits the mood of the room.
