This moon image was produced through post-processing in Aperture. The primary adjustment was to move the lefthand slider in the Levels tool to the far right. There’s a political metaphor in there somewhere. Anyway, it’s not really an old moon. It’s still a waxing gibbous with plenty of life left. I went with post-processing foolery because I was just not getting a sharp image despite the clear sky. I suspect that its due to the high humidity in the air on this extremely muggy July evening.
